Our Active Core forms the absorber core of the Acoustic Panels, 3D Acoustic Panels, Acoustic Tiles and Acoustic Pictures and consists of a combination of hemp fibres and a binding agent. This combination of materials ensures stability, and effective sound absorption.
The hemp fibres and binding agent are biodegradable. Despite its natural fibre content, Active Core can be processed in the same way as PET. It can be edited using existing machinery, making it a sustainable solution for a wide range of acoustic designs and solutions.

ORGANOID Active Core products have tested sound absorption values of Class A according to ISO 345 (depending on the structural setup). They reduce reverberation times and improve speech intelligibility in different room concepts.

Thanks to its sound-absorbing effect, our Active Core can significantly improve concentration, performance and well-being. Sheepโs wool also binds formaldehyde, absorbs humidity and releases it again in a controlled way โ for balanced indoor air quality.
biodegradable
All Active Core products are 93.8% biodegradable according to ASTM D5511. The products are also 87.9% biodegradable in seawater.
