Natural surfaces for architects
Surfaces made from natural materials for architects
Natural materials shape modern interior architecture. Organoid develops surfaces made from real natural fibers such as hay, flowers and moss for natural fiber wall coverings and biophilic design.
Designed for sustainable building, industrially processed and certified, they combine strong design impact with functional quality for architecture and interiors.

Reliable planning
- Tender-ready
- Strong documentation
- Material honesty
- Emission-tested

Materiality that convinces. In design and in execution.
Materiality has to convince in the design phase, be clear in planning discussions and perform throughout the project. Organoid natural surfaces combine spatial design impact with technical resilience for architecture and interior design with natural materials.
The surfaces can be used as wall coverings and in interior fit-out, are clearly specifiable, tender-ready and reliable to plan. This creates materiality that differentiates and supports projects with confidence.

Properties and benefits of natural surfaces
Spatial effect and design
Natural materials are spatially defining and atmospherically effective. They create visual depth and clearly readable materiality.
Sustainability
The surfaces are made from real natural materials and support sustainable architecture as well as biophilic design.
Acoustics and indoor climate
Depending on the build-up, they improve room acoustics and contribute to a pleasant indoor climate.
Processing and implementation
The materials are suitable for projects, easy to install and usable across trades – for example as wallpaper or furniture surfaces.

Frequently asked questions about natural materials in architecture
Yes. Organoid natural surfaces can be clearly specified and integrated into bills of quantities. Technical data, specification texts and documentation support reliable planning and implementation.
Relevant certificates and documents are available for planning, including fire protection, emissions, indoor compatibility, EPD and allergy suitability. All available documents can be accessed in the download area.
Organoid surfaces are suitable for wall coverings, furniture fronts, glass surfaces, ceilings and acoustic elements. They can be used in commercial projects, interior fit-out, hotels, offices, retail spaces and private living areas.
Depending on the carrier material, the surfaces can be wallpapered, pressed or bonded. On flax fleece they are processed similarly to heavy nonwoven wallpaper; as furniture surfaces, they are comparable to veneer. Processing instructions and videos are available here.
Yes. The surfaces are made from real natural materials and can be used in an ecologically traceable way. They support sustainable architecture, biophilic design and material concepts with visible, documented sustainability.
Natural materials make designs immediately understandable. They work visually, haptically and atmospherically, helping convince clients faster in competitions, pitches and material decisions.
Yes. Textures, specification texts, certificates and technical information are available and support architects in design, visualization, tendering and detailed planning. The corresponding documents can be accessed directly on the respective product pages.
Yes. In addition to existing collection surfaces, custom surfaces are possible, from minor adaptations to individual designs using existing or customer-supplied natural materials.
A5 samples can be requested with project information. Many surfaces from the current collection are in stock and available at short notice; custom surfaces are produced project by project.
