SHI Product Passport: Healthy and Sustainable Furnishing starts here
Building healthy spaces? Absolutely – but let’s do it properly! Enter the Sentinel Haus Institut (SHI) and their clever creation: the SHI Product Passport. This digital sidekick helps you keep your indoor air clean and your materials spot-on for well-being.
What is the SHI Product Passport?
Quite simply: a digital document that shows which building products have been thoroughly tested for sustainability and harmful substances. In short: quality you can rely on. The SHI Product Passport enables safe material selection and saves valuable time during documentation. Planners, architects, and construction companies receive verified product data, allowing for transparent documentation in building certifications such as DGNB, QNG, BNB, BREEAM, and the EU Taxonomy.
Key Benefits at a Glance:
- Time savings: Proof of compliance for building certifications (e.g. DGNB, QNG, BREEAM, BNB, or EU Taxonomy) is significantly simplified.
- Access to Funding: Only tested, low-emission products often enable access to attractive KfW funding programmes (QNG-ready).
- Planning Reliability: Architects, planners, and construction companies receive reliable product data for documentation right away.
- Market Advantage: Sustainably built properties achieve higher sale and rental values
- Future-Proof: ESG-compliant and compatible with the EU Taxonomy.
- Health Benefits: Certified products reduce pollutant exposure – ideal for those living or working in the spaces later.

Natural, certified and climate-friendly
For us, the health of your indoor spaces is a top priority. That’s why we’re especially proud that these three Organoid® natural surfaces have been awarded the SHI Product Passport and meet the requirements for building certifications:
- 🌿 WILDSPITZE: Hand-scythed Tyrolean Alpine hay on breathable flax fleece
- 💙 CORNFLOWER BLUE: Blue cornflower petals on breathable flax fleece
- 🌱 MOSS MIX: Light and dark green moss from upcycling on breathable flax fleece

Inara Suites – inspired by nature.
The Inara Suites, as an innovative pilot project, demonstrate how sustainable and circular construction can work in practice. Certified, natural materials such as the decorative Organoid® surfaces are used here, featuring real plant structures that not only shape the visual appearance but also promote healthy living and circular use. At Lake Titisee, a new apartment house – the Inara Suites – was created under the leadership of the Seehotel Wiesler. In cooperation with the Sentinel Holding Institute, the focus of the project was placed firmly on sustainability and circularity. The vision was to create a building in which as many materials and components as possible can be reintegrated into biological or technical cycles at the end of their service life.
The entire construction was accompanied by the Sentinel Holding Institute from start to finish, ensuring sustainability and circularity through the use of certified products. The Inara Suites, comprising flats and guest rooms, were built using timber frame construction. With the aim of advancing the development of the construction industry towards a more sustainable future, all construction phases were documented in a building diary by SHI.
We want every stay at the Inara Suites to be a unique experience, inspiring guests to connect deeply with the surrounding nature. That’s why, in designing the rooms, we placed particular emphasis not only on circularity but also on natural elements and a harmonious atmosphere that conveys peace and relaxation.
Fabian Wiesler,
Builder of the Inara Suites
