handwerkundbau.at introduces our natural surfaces and takes a closer look at “Lavendel Medium”.
The article follows the raw material from the field to the wall: blossoms and stalks come from a cooperative in southern France and are worked onto flax fleece by hand.
It also explains what the chemical-free flax fleece does as a backing — insulating, sound-dampening, moisture-regulating — and why the surface goes onto walls and ceilings like wallpaper and onto wood like a veneer. Café Fluzz in Kufstein serves as the built example.
The article is in German.
