Wenn Räume wieder nach Natur riechen

Trockene Blütenblätter auf hellgelbem Hintergrund verteilt

MODULØR · Issue 3/2026

The Swiss architecture magazine MODULØR features ORGANOID on a double page in its “Surfaces” section.

Real nature, not imitation

MODULØR describes how real plants, blossoms and hay are not imitated at ORGANOID but become the surface itself. The materials stay alive: they give off scent, change over time and reflect light differently. That is how they change rooms through scent, touch and atmosphere.

The article also tells how cofounder Christoph Egger developed the idea out of a wish for more nature in everyday working life. Today the surfaces appear in international projects on walls, furniture and room dividers.

The surfaces in the article

The article highlights the collections of alpine hay and blossoms, such as the ORGANOID ALPINE MEADOW surface made of hay from Tyrolean mountain meadows or the ORGANOID ROSE PETALS surface. Alongside them are monochrome surfaces like the ORGANOID CORNFLOWER BLUE surface, the ORGANOID STONE PINE FOREST surface made of stone pine shavings and the ORGANOID HOPS GOLD surface with hop blossoms on a golden ground. Even coffee makes it onto the wall: the ORGANOID COFFEE LEATHER surface is made from coffee grounds.

Organoid shows how much the perception of interiors changes when materials are not only designed but can be experienced.

Where the surfaces are used

The surfaces come on flax fleece or PVC free adhesive film. That way they go onto walls and ceilings as well as furniture, glass or metal, in hospitality, offices and wellness. All designs at a glance under natural surfaces.
